1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyNautra website and platform. By creating an account or using MyNautra, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2About MyNautra

MyNautra is an online maritime job-matching platform. It lets seafarers and maritime professionals create profiles, upload CVs and credentials, search and apply for jobs, and lets employers post jobs and find candidates. MyNautra provides the technology to connect users. We are not an employer of seafarers, and unless we expressly state otherwise, we are not a party to any employment or crewing arrangement made between users.

3Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement.
  • You must provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login details secure.
  • You may hold only one account per role unless we agree otherwise. Employers must be authorised to act for the company they register.

4Seafarer Responsibilities

If you use MyNautra as a seafarer or maritime professional, you agree that:

  • all qualifications, certificates, sea service records and other information you provide are true, valid and not misleading;
  • you will upload only documents you are entitled to hold and share, and will keep them current;
  • you are responsible for confirming the terms of any job offer before accepting it; and
  • any verification badge or status on your profile reflects only the checks we carried out at the time and is not a guarantee of fitness for any role.

5Employer Responsibilities

If you use MyNautra as an employer, crewing agency or recruiter, you agree that:

  • job postings will be genuine, lawful, accurate and non-discriminatory;
  • you will comply with all applicable maritime, labour and recruitment laws, including the Maritime Labour Convention where applicable, and will not charge seafarers unlawful placement fees;
  • you will use candidate data only for recruitment and in line with data protection law; and
  • you are solely responsible for your hiring decisions, contracts, wages and conditions of employment.

6Subscriptions, Tokens and Payments

  • MyNautra offers plans including a Free Trial, Standard and Career Boost. The features, limits and prices of each plan are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.
  • Certain actions require tokens. For example, each job creation costs 2 tokens. Employers must hold a sufficient token balance before posting a job.
  • Fees are payable in advance through the payment methods offered on the platform and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Subscriptions renew according to the billing period you select unless you cancel before renewal. Cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current period.
  • Purchased tokens and fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we state otherwise in writing. Unused tokens do not convert to cash.
  • We may change prices or plan features. Changes apply from your next billing period after we notify you.

7CV Correction Service

Where available on your plan, you may submit your CV for correction. We aim to return the corrected CV within 2 to 3 days to the email address on your account, though this is a target and not a guarantee. You remain responsible for reviewing the corrected CV and confirming it is accurate before you use it in any application.

8Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • post false, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory or unlawful content;
  • impersonate another person or company, or forge or misrepresent any certificate or credential;
  • use the platform to scam, harass or solicit payment from other users;
  • scrape, copy or harvest user data or platform content without our written permission;
  • upload viruses or attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to our systems; or
  • use the platform in any way that breaks the law or these Terms.

9Content and Intellectual Property

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You grant MyNautra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, display and share that content as needed to operate the platform and provide our services, including sharing with employers when you apply or choose to be visible.

The MyNautra name, logo, software, design and platform content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our written consent.

10Automated Features

MyNautra may offer automated features, including matching tools and the Ask Nia assistant. These provide general guidance only and may contain errors. They are not professional, legal or career advice, and you should verify important information independently.

11No Guarantee of Employment or Candidates

We do not guarantee that you will receive job offers, interviews or placements, or that employers will receive suitable candidates. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings or user profiles, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any user. You should carry out your own checks before accepting a job or hiring a candidate.

12Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, provide false information, misuse the platform or put other users at risk. You may close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

13Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that content on it is accurate or complete.

14Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyNautra and its directors, staff and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of income, opportunity, data or reputation arising from your use of the platform or any dealings between users. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15Indemnity

You agree to indemnify MyNautra against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your dealings with other users.

16Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute amicably through good-faith discussion. If it is not resolved within 30 days, it will be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria, unless the parties agree in writing to arbitration.

17Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or on the platform. Continued use of MyNautra after the changes take effect means you accept them.
